3. In 1976, there were 796,000 learning-disabled children in America's public schools. Today the number is 3,000,000.
4. In 1997, ADHD was reported to effect 1.6 million American school-aged children. Today, the number is 4,000,000.
5. From 1945-1969, juvenile diabetes (Type 1) afflicted one in every 7,100 children. Today, it is one in every 400-500.
